2020 National Day of Prayer
On Thursday, May 7, 2020, America observed the 69th annual National Day of Prayer (NDP). And, although the official Day of Prayer has come and gone, the NDP task force is inviting God’s people continue to join them in prayer day by day.
The theme for the 2020 National Day of Prayer (NDP) is, “Pray for God’s glory across the earth,” based upon Habakkuk 2:14, which states, “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea” (ESV).
In keeping with recommended COVID-19 guidelines, several virtual prayer meetings were held in the local area. Some of these were streamed live on the internet, and others took place in the form of telephone conference calls. These were some of the prayer events that took place:
