2018 National Day of Prayer
The 67th annual Day of Prayer was observed Thursday, May 3, 2018. The theme was, Pray for America – UNITY, based upon Ephesians 4:3, “Making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”
Here in the greater Fort Hood area, prayer activities began Saturday, April 28, with a motorcycle prayer ride, followed by the NDP kickoff citywide prayer and worship service at Agape Church of God in Christ. A citywide pre-NDP youth event followed on Wednesday, May 2, at Greater Vision Community Church.
Various prayer events then took place Thursday, May 3, the official observance of the 2018 National Day of Prayer. Folks gathered at various times and locations all across the community, Several noontime prayer events were held in Killeen, Fort Hood, Copperas Cove, Lampasas, Harker Heights and Temple.
The 2018 National Day of Prayer concluded with two evening celebrations – one at First United Methodist Church in Nolanville, and another at the Bell County Expo Center in Belton.
